Together instead of alone! - Vintage Collage Poster

The art print is based on a handmade collage of upcycled books and magazines. The main figure is a girl from New York, portrayed by Diane Arbus. "Girl Selling Plastic Orchids at Night" is the title of the photograph, taken in 1963. The photographer made it her mission to depict outsiders and freaks as "aristocrats in a moral sense" and to bring them into the mainstream of society. In my collage, however, she is still surrounded by critical eyes, which underscore her insecurity and shyness.
